Gameplan product guide
Keep brand conversations moving. Keep the decisions yours.
Gameplan helps athletes research suitable brands, prepare outreach and handle incoming inquiries. The manager supports the work around a brand opportunity; a researched brand or draft pitch is not a partnership.
Can Gameplan help me find suitable brands?
Where enabled, the manager uses your career, preferences, audience and business context to research brands and prepare outreach. A useful pitch needs a complete published profile and supported information about your audience, market and offer.
A large follower count alone does not establish brand fit. Start with an offer you can deliver and a reason the brand's audience would care. Do not present researched brands as confirmed sponsors.
Does Gameplan send pitches automatically?
New brand outreach is held for approval before sending. Consequential commitments about fees, deliverables, dates or usage rights also require approval. Routine intake replies may run under configured inbox rules.
Review the recipient, draft and proposed commitments before approving. Gameplan does not guarantee replies, sponsorships or income.
What information makes a pitch credible?
Use verifiable figures and links. Avoid implying that a brand is a partner until the relationship and permission to describe it are confirmed.
- A complete public profile and current links to your external accounts.
- A clear description of your audience and relevant market, supported by evidence.
- A specific activation you can deliver within your training and competition schedule.
- Current sponsor restrictions and your preferences, supplied by you.
A brand DMed me an offer. What should I review?
Review the proposed fee, deliverables, dates, usage rights and any existing sponsor restrictions together. An offer amount alone does not describe what you are agreeing to. Use current audience evidence and a deliverable that fits your training and competition schedule when considering the proposal.
Where the manager inbox is enabled, Gameplan can collect missing proposal details and prepare a response using your business context. New outreach and consequential commitments are held for approval before sending. You review the proposed terms; a draft response does not establish a partnership or guarantee a deal.
How do I negotiate a sponsorship offer without an agent?
Start with the full proposal, not just its headline fee. Ask for the deliverables, channels, campaign dates, usage period, exclusivity, approval process and payment terms in writing. Compare the workload and rights with your own rate card, calendar and existing commitments.
Illustrative counteroffer structure: “Thank you for the proposal. Could you confirm [deliverables], [campaign dates] and [usage rights]? My proposed scope is [specific activation] for [your proposed fee], covering [the rights and period you are willing to offer]. Please confirm which parts of that scope the budget is intended to cover.” Replace the brackets with your own terms. This is an example of a discussion draft, not a real offer or a legal template.
Where enabled, Gameplan can collect missing proposal details and prepare a response using your business context. Set your own rates and preferred terms; the manager should not invent a price for you. Consequential commitments and new outreach require approval before sending.
- Clarify what is requested and what is excluded.
- Use current audience evidence instead of an unsupported follower or engagement claim.
- Propose a specific scope you can deliver around training and competition.
- Check rights, dates and exclusivity together before agreeing to a fee.
- Get qualified review where an obligation or right is unclear, and keep the final agreed scope in writing.
What happens when a brand contacts me?
The manager can handle intake and prepare a response using your business context where the inbox workflow is enabled. Consequential terms are brought back for approval. Confirm the workflows available to your account with the team.
Gameplan does not publish campaign content to your external social accounts. Content drafts for those accounts are for you to publish yourself.
